Dopey Eyes started as my personal business cards, which were letterpressed and die-cut eyeball cards, printed by the mighty Fort Heavy. As we were working on the cards, we were having a great time placing the eyes on inanimate objects around the studio. Mike from Fort Heavy and I had the idea to duplex the eyes to label stock and package them as a toy. Using old toy packaging as our reference point, we designed, printed and packaged these sets of 6 stickers that could be placed on random objects to make them funnier. Because it was 2017, we also created an instagram account. Ultimately a failed venture, but a perfect example of creating something to amuse ourselves.
